THANK YOU FROM MAYOR HOHENFELDT FOR A WONDERFUL ARBOR DAY CELEBRATION
I would like to take this opportunity to thank a large amount of people that participated in the City of Cudahy's Arbor Day Celebration on Saturday April 29th. Several groups such as Friends of Pulaski Park, Sheridan Park Friends, students’ parents, teachers and staff from the School District of Cudahy and residents of Cudahy joined us in various locations in cleaning up the city. Your love and dedication for community is greatly appreciated!
To our generous sponsors, Pick N Save Food of Cudahy, the K Ranch Pub & Grill (wonderful chili again this year!), City of Cudahy, Cudahy Department of Public Works, Cudahy Family Library, thank you for being a part of this great event! To the planners from DPW, Mary Jo, Scott, Anthony, and thank you for your behinds the scenes work and everyone at the Department of Public Works that helped to make this happen! To the best hotdog and chili serving cook, Tom Kelly, thank you for keeping our volunteers well-nourished and feeding our great volunteers.
On this day as a part of our city celebration, a tree was planted in honor of Rose and Phil Brannon, just west of the Cudahy Family Library. Thank you to their daughter and all of the family members in attendance as we honored both of them for their love and dedication to our community.
In closing, I would like to once again thank everyone involved in making this a great community event. This is OUR community, and WE all work hard to make it better! We look forward to seeing you next year in April at the 2018 Arbor Day event!
